Goalkeeper
Like goalkeepers in soccer, they play an important role in futsal as well. The goalie is the most specialist player on the field, and he or she is expected to defend the goal at all costs. Apart from that, they give instructions to the team and issue directions from their point of view. They only have four seconds to possess the ball, which puts pressure on them to make quick decisions when they have the ball at their feet.
Wide Forward
The wide forward is an important position in Futsal that can be used to stretch a defense or create space for other players on their team. They can also score goals, which is probably why they’re so popular with fans of the sport!
Free Kick Taker/Set Piece Specialist
The ability to take free kicks, especially from distance, is an underrated skill. It can be useful at any time during a game and allow you to score goals that would otherwise be impossible. This position is often given to players who are good at shooting.
A set piece specialist’s main job is to take corner kicks, throw-ins and free kicks for the team in order to score goals or create chances for the other players on their team. They should also be able to defend against these opportunities if they happen on their side of the field so they don’t get scored against too often! This position is usually assigned based on height since they needn’t be very fast while running around without much space available behind them (since there’s no goalie).
A good penalty taker is always a valuable piece on each team. Chances like these have to be converted, and knowing you can always rely on your player to score in these situations really takes the pressure off.
Defender
Defenders are the players who defend the goal. They are often in the good position to score as well, but they also have the most opportunities to make a mistake. Because of this, defenders should be smart and aware of their surroundings so they can avoid mistakes on defense as well as make sure they don’t miss an opportunity to score on offense.

You don’t have to be the fastest or smartest on the field to contribute to your team; you just have to make sure that you’re putting in 100% effort every time out.
